Junior Hockey
We are proud to offer a well-established junior programme for young players aged 5 to 16. Our junior section has grown into one of the most active and welcoming aspects of the club, currently comprising over 50 members from schools across Purley, Caterham and Warlingham.
The success of the programme is reflected in the number of former Colts who have progressed into representing the club across both the men's and women's teams. It is a progression we are immensely proud of and one we continue to nurture.
What to expect
Our primary aim is to provide every child with a safe, structured, and enjoyable introduction to hockey, regardless of prior experience or ability. Coaching sessions are divided into two groups according to age and physical development. All sessions are delivered by experienced and certified coaches.
In the junior colts we seek to develop a firm foundation of hockey skills and a love for the game through fun and engaging games
This is built on in the senior colts where wider team dynamics are introduced, alongside more advanced skills and matches against other clubs in Croydon area.
Where and When
Colts training sessions are held every Sunday 10am-11.30am at Warlingham School.
Colts training runs from early September to early April with monthly sessions during the summer months.
Sticks are available to borrow, so head down and give junior hockey a try!
